Overview of the West Tokyo International Innovation Co-Creation Hub/Kaikoukan
With support from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's "Facility development project for industry-academia-government collaboration and joint research through collaboration between regional core and distinctive research universities," we have partnered with the University of Electro-Communications and Tokyo University of Foreign Studies to establish the West Tokyo International Innovation Co-creation Base/Kaikoukan on our Fuchu Campus. This facility will create a virtuous cycle between the needs of the Tama area of Tokyo (West Tokyo region) and the research seeds held by the university.
The facility aims to attract international attention to the Tama (West Tokyo) region of Tokyo, by serving as a base for gathering the intellectual value of the region and developing it into global industry.
Focusing on agriculture, food, and energy, we will make this a hub for co-creating a new future with people in the western Tokyo area.
