Information about Education and Research Center for Frontier Agricultural Science attached to Faculty of Agriculture.

Education and Research Center for Frontier Agricultural Science was established in June 2008 with the primary objective of promoting the development of frontier agricultural research and its application to undergraduate and graduate education.
The facility will be staffed with a project research director and deputy director, primarily consisting of Faculty Member Faculty Member from Graduate School of Agriculture and Faculty of Agriculture, who will carry out cutting-edge large-scale project research and hold symposiums to gradually disseminate the results. In addition to utilizing the facility for education and research, the facility will also carry out a wide range of activities, including contributing to society.
Currently, we are actively promoting a green biomass research project and a project to establish an integrated wildlife management system with the support of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's Special Education and Research Expenses.

Research results review meeting (open to the public)

"Technology system for sustainable use of green biomass and
"Research on the development of local community systems" - Towards improving local energy self-sufficiency -
This is a notice regarding the holding of a research results review meeting (on campus).

■ Target: Faculty and staff Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology
Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology of Agriculture and Technology
■ Date and time: Thursday, March 8, 2012, 10:00-17:30
■ Location: Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology of Agriculture and Technology, Fuchu Campus, Building 2, Lecture Room 2-11
■ For inquiries, please contact: Tadashi Hirazawa, Graduate Institute of Agriculture Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology Agriculture and Technology (ext. 5671)
Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology Institute of Agriculture Graduate School of Agriculture, Kiyohide Tojo (ext. 5764)
■ Project Objective:
We will develop new technologies for material circulation, highly efficient green biomass production and biomass energy production that do not compete with food production, and create a basic system for "local production and consumption" of biomass energy.
Based on this, we will construct a general-purpose model of an environmentally symbiotic, self-sufficient energy regional community system using biomass that can be adapted to various regions, and aim to solve energy and environmental problems without competing with food problems.
