Eligibility
Those who have graduated or completed a university or graduate school and obtained a degree, or who are recognized as having equivalent or higher academic ability.
Research Period
Within 2 years
Application Deadline
In principle, you should apply at least two months before the start of your research. If you need to obtain a new residence status, please contact your prospective Supervisor approximately six months before your desired start date.

Important notice
Before applying, you must consult with Supervisor to determine the research period and research topic. You can search for Faculty Member contact information here. There will be no research students accepted in February and March.
Documents required for application
In principle, the application documents will be distributed at the relevant office. For details, please contact Educational Affairs Section.
- Application for admission (in the format specified by the university)
- Resume (in the format specified by the university)
- Graduation/expected completion certificate from last school or notarized document issued by a government agency
(Note 1) Chinese nationals are also required to submit ① a diploma, ② an original copy of the degree certificate, and ③ a bachelor's degree certificate or a notarized certificate issued by a government agency. - A transcript of academic records (credits expected to be acquired) from the last school you attended or a notarized document issued by a government agency (note) Copies are not accepted
- Health certificate (in the format specified by the university) (Note) Must have been diagnosed within the last six months
- If you are currently employed at a company, etc., you will need a letter of consent from your supervisor and a letter of commitment from you stating that you wish to be supervised by Faculty Member for personal research (in the format specified by the university).
- Foreign applicants residing in Japan must submit a copy of their residence certificate (original)
- For international applicants residing outside Japan, a letter of recommendation from the head of the Supervisor from the school they attended or are currently attending, and a document certifying their ability to pay tuition and living expenses for their studies.
Fees
When applying, you will need to submit your application documents along with the examination fee. After receiving your acceptance letter, you will need to pay your admission fee and tuition by the end of the enrollment procedure.
