Research students at Graduate School of Agriculture and Faculty of Agriculture

Graduate School of Agriculture and Faculty of Agriculture accepts graduate research students and undergraduate research students. The conditions are as follows:

Before applying, you must first consult with your desired Supervisor to determine the research period and topic.

Research Period

More than 3 months and less than 2 years.

Eligibility

Those who have graduated or completed a university or graduate school and obtained a degree, or who are recognized as having equivalent or higher academic ability.

Application Deadline

In principle, applications must be submitted at least two months prior to the month in which you wish to begin your research. Applications for admission in February and March will not be accepted.
However, foreign applicants who do not currently have a resident status in Japan should apply through their desired Supervisor approximately six months prior to their intended date of enrollment.

1. Japanese students and international students enrolled in regular courses at this university

② Resume (prescribed format)
③Certificate of graduation or completion (or expected completion) from the last school you have attended (Note) Copies are not accepted
④Transcript of last school's academic record (Note) Copies not accepted
⑤ Health certificate (prescribed by the university) (Note) Must have been diagnosed within the last six months
⑥ Letter of consent and letter of commitment (prescribed format) (Note) If you are becoming research students while still employed at a company etc., you will need a letter of consent from your current employer and a letter of commitment from you stating that you wish to be supervised by Faculty Member for the purposes of your personal research.


2. Privately funded international students

In addition to the documents listed in 1, please submit the following documents.

⑦Documents proving ability to pay tuition fees, living expenses, etc.
⑧ Copy of residence card or residence certificate (front and back) *If you are a resident in Japan at the time of application
⑨Letter of recommendation (Note) This should be from the head or Supervisor of the university where you graduated or are currently enrolled. If you are employed, a letter from your current head of department is acceptable.

Fees

When applying, you will need to submit your application documents along with the examination fee.
After receiving the acceptance letter, the admission fee and tuition fee must be paid by the end of the enrollment procedure.
