[About the Tuition Fee Exemption System]
The tuition fee exemption system provides a system for exempting all or part of tuition fees, after selection, to those who are deemed to have significant difficulty paying the tuition fee due to special circumstances.
Japanese undergraduate students, permanent residents, and other students receiving JASSO scholarships are eligible to apply for the "scholarship" program, which began in April 2020. New system of higher education study support Tuition and enrollment fees will be waived or reduced according to the following criteria.

The multiple-child family tuition waiver program, which will begin in the 2025 academic year, will also be implemented within the framework of the new system of higher education tuition support.

Deferment of Entrance Fee Payment
Deferment of the entrance fee payment is a system under which those who are deemed to have difficulty in paying the entrance fee by the due date for financial reasons are granted a deferment until the end of August of the year of admission for first-semester applicants, or until the end of February of the year of admission for second-semester applicants, upon selection.

*In principle, undergraduate students will be exempted according to their support category in the higher education tuition support system.

Income certificate, tax withholding slip, grade record, etc. that prove the contents of the tuition exemption/deferral application/family situation report. The required documents vary depending on each student's situation and family situation, so please see Application Guideline 2 (About Certificates) for details.
(Note) If you are also applying for tuition fee exemption, you may submit the same set of certificates as the application for admission fee exemption.

Selection method and judgment details
- If your application is denied or partially exempt, you must pay the tuition fee within 14 days of the date the university notifies you of the decision. If you are unable to pay the tuition fee by the deadline, you can apply for a deferral of payment.
- If your application is denied, you must pay your tuition fees within 14 days of the university notifying you of its decision.
- If you are granted "deferral of payment," payment of tuition fees will be deferred until the end of August for students enrolled in April, and until the end of February for students enrolled in October. Please be sure to pay your tuition fees by the deadline according to the payment notice given to you at the counter.
(Note) Please note that if you do not pay the admission fee by the deadline, you will be expelled from the school.

Presentation Method
Undergraduate students (those eligible for the Higher Education Support Program): Announcement will be made at the distribution of the designated form by the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO).
Graduate students and undergraduate students: In principle, presentations will be made on SIRIUS.
*Those who have applied for exemption will have the payment deferred until the results are announced. Please do not pay until the results are announced.
